What counts toward my monthly allowance, and when does it reset?
On Clipr, only captions and renders made on Clipr's servers count, and only when they finish. Editing and exporting in your browser are free and unlimited. Free resets on the 1st of each month. Paid plans reset monthly from your subscription start date.
What counts
- Captions and renders on Clipr's servers count, once they finish.
- Editing and exporting in your browser never count.
- Failed renders are never counted. You'll see "The render did not finish. Try again; it was not counted."
- A Find moments run that finds nothing isn't counted.
Work on hold
Work that's still running shows as N on hold and reserves allowance until it finishes. On Free, the bar in Studio reads N captioned Shorts left · N on hold.
When it resets
- Free: on the 1st of each calendar month.
- Starter and Creator: monthly from your subscription start date. This applies to yearly plans too.
The Billing page shows your captioned Shorts this period and the date they reset.

Free includes 30 a month. Starter and Creator are unlimited, with fair use: past 1,000 in a month, server captions and renders wait for the next period. See plans compared.
My render failed. Did it use up a Short?
No. Failed renders are never counted. Try again.
