Terms of service
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Clipr ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Description of service
Clipr provides tools that allow users to (a) download publicly available clips and videos from streaming platforms including Twitch and Kick, and (b) process and edit video content into vertical short-form formats with automated captions, custom layouts, and styling ("Processing Features"). The Service retrieves content via public interfaces and does not permanently host source video content on its servers; videos you upload are stored only to process them and are deleted automatically 30 days after upload.
3. Account and eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that all information provided is accurate and complete. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
4. Content ownership and intellectual property
All video content accessed through Clipr remains the exclusive property of its original creators and rights holders. By downloading or processing content through Clipr, you acknowledge that:
- You do not gain any ownership rights to source content
- Original creators retain all rights, title, and interest in their content
- Clipr does not claim ownership of any source content or user-generated outputs
- Any use of content beyond personal, private viewing may require explicit permission from the rights holder
5. Content processing and derivative works
The Processing Features create derivative works from third-party streaming content. This section governs your use of these features and constitutes a binding agreement regarding your rights and obligations.
By using the Processing Features, you represent and warrant that:
- You are the original content creator (the broadcaster or streamer whose content is being processed); OR
- You have obtained explicit, verifiable permission from the original content creator to create and distribute derivative works based on their content; OR
- Your use constitutes fair use or fair dealing under applicable copyright law in your jurisdiction, and you accept all risk associated with that determination
You further acknowledge and agree that:
- You accept sole and complete responsibility for any copyright claims, DMCA takedown notices, platform content strikes, or legal proceedings resulting from your use of processed content
- You will indemnify and hold harmless Clipr and its operators from any and all claims, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your processed content or your breach of these representations
- Clipr reserves the right to refuse processing requests, remove processed content, or suspend your access at any time and for any reason, including in response to takedown requests from rights holders
- Processed outputs are temporary and subject to automatic expiration. Clipr makes no guarantee of long-term storage or availability of processed content
- Source attribution identifying the original broadcaster's channel is automatically embedded in all processed outputs and may not be removed, altered, or obscured
- Processing content does not transfer any rights from the original creator to you beyond what you already possess
6. DMCA policy
Clipr respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). We will respond promptly to notices of alleged infringement that comply with applicable law.
Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice. If you believe content available through Clipr infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notification containing:

- Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, email)
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
- Your physical or electronic signature
Send DMCA notices to: [email protected]
Counter-Notification. If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification. Clipr will process counter-notifications in accordance with the DMCA.
Repeat Infringers. Clipr will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

9. Service availability
The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time without notice. We shall not be liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. CLIPR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, THAT PROCESSED OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE COMPATIBLE WITH ANY PARTICULAR PLATFORM OR DEVICE.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CLIPR AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Copyright claims, DMCA proceedings, or legal actions brought against you by third parties in connection with your use of processed content
- Content strikes, account suspensions, or penalties imposed by third-party platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) as a result of content you distributed
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers or systems
- Any interruption or cessation of the Service
IN NO EVENT SHALL CLIPR'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CLIPR IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Clipr, its operators, affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with:
- Your use of the Service, including the Processing Features
- Content you download, process, or distribute using the Service
- Your breach of these Terms or any representation or warranty herein
- Your violation of any law, regulation, or third-party right
- Any DMCA notices, copyright claims, or intellectual property disputes involving content you processed or distributed
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Any processed content associated with your account may be deleted. Sections 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 19 and 20 shall survive termination.
14. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict of law rules. Before filing a claim, you and Clipr agree to try to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days, starting when one of us emails the other a description of it (ours: [email protected]).
If that does not resolve it, any claim must be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and Clipr consent to their jurisdiction. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court. If you are a consumer living outside the United States, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may bring a claim in its courts.
15. Your content and the license you give us
You keep whatever rights you have in the content you submit (links, uploads, text and edits) and in the Shorts you make. To run the Service, you give Clipr a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, process, transcribe and render that content, and to show it back to you, only as needed to provide the Service.
This license ends when the content is deleted, except for copies kept for the periods described in our Privacy Policy (for example encrypted backups). We do not use your content to train artificial intelligence models, and we do not sell it.
16. Automated features and their output
Some features are automated: captions are made by speech-to-text, and features that suggest moments, crops or text work from patterns in the video and chat. Their output can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable, including misheard words and mistimed captions. Review everything before you publish it. You are responsible for what you publish, and Clipr makes no promise that automated output is accurate or fit for any purpose.
17. Plans, limits and paid subscriptions
- Limits. Free use has limits, such as a monthly number of captioned Shorts and maximum clip lengths, shown in the Service. Limits may change; unused allowance does not carry over.
- Paid plans. When paid plans are offered, Paddle acts as our merchant of record and processes payment, tax and invoices. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel online at any time, from the Billing page in your account menu, and keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are not refunded for partial periods or unused allowance. Requests are handled through Paddle; contact us if something went wrong.
- Price changes. We will tell you before a price change applies to your subscription, and it takes effect from your next billing period.
18. Connected platforms
If you connect an account on another platform (for example TikTok, YouTube or Instagram) to post or schedule, you authorize Clipr to act on that account only as you direct, and that platform's own terms and policies apply to what you publish there. Clipr uses YouTube API Services: by connecting YouTube you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can disconnect an account in Clipr at any time, or revoke Clipr's access in that platform's own settings (for Google, at Google security settings).
19. Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions or bug reports, we may use them to improve the Service without any obligation to you.
20. General
- Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Clipr about the Service.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a term right away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
- Assignment. You may not transfer these Terms to anyone else. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the Service, and will tell you if we do.
21. Changes to these terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
