How do I connect my TikTok account to Clipr?
In Clipr, open Studio, go to Accounts, choose TikTok, sign in to TikTok and approve Clipr. If you approve direct posting, Clipr posts to your profile; if not, posts go to your TikTok inbox as drafts. Posting needs Starter or Creator.
Step by step
- In Studio, open Accounts.
- Under Connect an account, press TikTok.
- Sign in to TikTok and approve Clipr.
- Back in Clipr, you see "TikTok account @handle connected."
Direct posting or drafts
When you approve Clipr, TikTok asks about direct posting.
- If you allow it, Clipr posts your Shorts straight to your profile.
- If you don't, each post "Goes to your TikTok inbox as a draft: you publish it from the app."
Before you start
- You need a paid plan, Starter or Creator. On Free, the connect buttons take you to the plans. See plans compared.
- You need a verified email. You have one if you signed in with the emailed link, or with Google or Twitch.
If it doesn't connect
- "The TikTok account was not connected." You cancelled on TikTok's side. Start again when you're ready.
- "The account could not be connected. Try again."
More questions
Does Clipr keep me signed in to TikTok?
Yes. TikTok's access is refreshed and Clipr renews it automatically. A password change or removed access can still sign it out. See reconnecting an account.
Can I connect more than one TikTok account?
Yes. After the first account, the heading reads Connect another account. One post can go to up to 6 accounts at once.
