Why did my Short fail to render?
A Short can fail if a render step breaks, if it uses a feature your plan doesn't include, if your allowance is used up, or if the clip was deleted. On Clipr a failed render is never counted, so you can press Try again at no cost.
What each message means
- "Processing failed": the render broke on our servers. Press Try again. It was not counted.
- "A step failed; retrying automatically…": Clipr is retrying on its own. Wait for it to finish.
- "The render did not finish. Try again; it was not counted.": press Try again.
- "… not available on your plan": the Short uses a paid feature. See below.
- "Monthly clip limit reached" or "This month's allowance is used up.": Free's 30 captioned Shorts for the month are used. See when your allowance resets.
- "Clip not found or not available" or "That clip could not be found on {platform}.": the clip was deleted or made private.
- "Your N free draft renders are used": Free's 3 Find moments draft renders are used.
Paid features on Free
"Not available on your plan" means the Short uses a paid feature: a layout, font, caption position, word highlight, effects, animation, colors, trim, zoom or emote stickers. Press Make it free, without it to remove it, or upgrade. See Free vs paid.
Renders in your browser
Free Shorts render in your browser when possible. If the browser export fails, Clipr switches over and tells you: "Your browser could not finish this one, so it is rendering on our servers instead." You don't need to do anything.
