Can I upload my own video to Clipr?

Yes, on Starter and Creator. Clipr takes MP4, MOV, MKV or WebM files. Starter takes videos up to 10 minutes and 500 MB to edit into a Short. Creator takes videos up to 3 hours and 10 GB, with 300 upload minutes a month for Find moments.

Step by step

  1. Open Studio and press upload a video under the paste box, or drop the file onto the page.
  2. Wait while Clipr prepares it: usually a few seconds, a few minutes for long videos.
  3. Edit it into a Short, or, for a video over 10 minutes, press Find moments.

Limits by plan

  • Free: no uploads.
  • Starter: videos up to 10 minutes and 500 MB, for editing into a Short.
  • Creator: videos up to 3 hours and 10 GB, with 300 upload minutes a month for Find moments.

On Free there is no upload a video link. See compare plans.

Find moments on uploads

An upload over 10 minutes becomes a stream you can run Find moments on. For uploads it reads what was said and how loud it got.

A run uses the video's length in upload minutes, rounded up. It counts only when it finishes. Creator has 300 upload minutes a month. Uploading itself uses nothing from your allowance. See how Find moments works.

Upload errors

  • "Videos up to 500 MB on Starter…": the file is too big for Starter. Creator takes videos up to 3 hours and 10 GB.
  • "Videos up to 10 minutes on Starter: trim it first…": trim the video before you upload it.
  • "This video has no length we can read. Try an MP4.": save the video as an MP4 and upload again.
  • "The upload stopped. Check your connection and try again.": your connection dropped during the upload.
  • "This video is longer than the upload minutes left this month (N).": you don't have enough upload minutes left for this video. See when your allowance resets.
