How do I trim a clip or remove pauses?

In Clipr's Short editor, set the Part to keep on the timeline to trim the clip; trimming comes with Starter and Creator. To cut silences, add captions first, then select Remove pauses.

Trim the clip

The timeline below the preview shows the Part to keep. Move it to the part of the clip you want in the Short. On Free you can try it in the preview; to export on Free, remove the trim from the Starter features bar.

Remove pauses

  1. Add captions in the Captions tab. See adding captions.
  2. Select Remove pauses.
  3. Check the result: it reads "N pauses cut, X s shorter", and a Cuts lane appears on the timeline.
  4. To undo it, select Keep pauses.

Remove pauses needs captions and comes with Starter and Creator (Free can try it in the preview). Shorts with removed pauses render on Clipr's servers.
